Uropathy - obstructive
Definition:
A disorder involving blockage of the flow of urine, resulting in the backup of urine and injury to the kidney(s).
Causes and Risks Obstructive uropathy occurs when the kidney produces urine in the normal manner but the urine cannot drain normally because of an obstruction. Urine backs-up and causes damage to the kidney(s). Common causes of obstructive uropathy include:
