Hebephrenic schizophrenia; Disorganized schizophrenia
Definition:
A type of schizophrenia characterized by fragmented delusional thoughts, disorganized behavior, disorganized speech, and unusual mannerisms and facial expressions.
Causes and Risks The causes are unknown. A family history of depression or psychosis increases the likelihood of having the disease. There is also a higher rate of drug abuse in this population.
