Question:
Are fair skinned people at higher risk for skin cancer?
Answer:
Anyone who sunburns easily is at high risk for skin cancer. Other risk factors include: freckled skin; blue, gray or green eyes; blond or red hair; multiple moles; and especially children who have had multiple severe sunburns. Use sunscreen and keep infants out of the sun altogether. See sunburn.
