Why is ovarian cancer so dangerous?

Answer:
Ovarian cancer is dangerous because usually by the time it is diagnosed the cancer has already spread beyond the ovaries. There are often no symptoms until late in the disease process. More than 50% of women who develop ovarian cancer are diagnosed in the advanced stages of the disease. As with most cancers, the earlier the diagnosis is made, the better chance for survival.
