Definition:

A deformity of the foot in which the toes are pointed down and the arch is high, making the foot appear claw-like. Claw toe, or hammer toe, is a similar deformity of a single toe in which the joint nearest the foot is bent upward (from contracture) and the other toe joints bend downward (also from contracture). See also claw hand.
