The weather is ripe for a trip to the park with your furry friend. The only decision you have to make is which one to go to, as Atlanta is chock-full of prime puppy real estate.
The paws have been counted, and Newtown Dream Dog Park in Johns Creek wins our Best of Atlanta dog park poll. This fenced in one-acre area features artificial turf, sprinklers, obstacles and separated areas for large and small dogs. Sit comfortably on a bench in the shade as your pup burns off that extra energy or join in on the fun with your best Frisbee toss.
No matter where you are in the Atlanta area, chances are that you have your own hidden gem in your backyard. Our second place winner is Lake Court Dog Park in Smyrna, and a close third place is Piedmont Dog Park located in Midtown. All of our nominees offer unique experiences, so make an adventure out of experiencing them all one day. Other noteworthy parks include Adair Dog Park (DeKalb), Chattapoochee Dog Park (Gwinnett), Parkgrounds (Intown) and Atlantic Station Dog Park (Intown).
These parks are only the tip of the tail. Be sure to check out these other Atlanta area playgrounds just for pups that are dog-tested and owner-approved.
