Brunch doesn’t have to mean breaking your diet or sitting back while your friends dig into a pile of syrup-soaked pancakes. Here are some of the healthiest brunches in Atlanta, which will make you glad you decided to brunch responsibly.

Another Broken Egg’s “The Healthy Side” menu selection offers a variety of options that can satisfy your brunch cravings. If you’re looking for a more savory meal go for the Skinny Omelet. At about 360 calories, the meal consists of herbed egg whites with blanches asparagus, roasted red peppers, green onions, goat cheese and roasted garlic cloves. The restaurant usually serves it with an English muffin (about 130 calories) and a side of fruit.

Satisfy a sweeter craving with the steel cut oats. At only about 290 calories, the oats are topped with mixed berries and served with local honey and fresh cinnamon.  

Egg Harbor CaféBuckhead, John’s Creek, Sandy Springs

Try the Joe’s healthy chicken sausage scrambler: It’s only 290 calories and 15 grams of total fat. The dish consists of three egg whites scrambled together with chicken sausage, mushrooms, spinach and roasted onions, topped with low-fat mozzarella cheese. It is usually served with fruit (additional 60 calories) and a wheat English muffin (additional 130 calories).

If you’re not sure if chicken sausage is your thing, try the quinoa breakfast bowl. At 380 calories and 10 grams of total fat, it's includes red and white quinoa warmed in almond milk, goji berries, dried blueberries, and pistachios. You’ll also find apple cinnamon chunks mixed with chia, hemp and sunflower seeds. It’s typically served with Greek yogurt and a side of honey (60 additional calories).

Brunching before a big race? Go for the tri-athlete, only 120 calories and 1.5 grams of total fat. It’s an egg white omelet with house-roasted crimini mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and green chills. You’ll also get a side of house-made salsa (add 20 calories), a dry English muffin (110 calories) and fresh fruit (90 calories).

Don’t overlook the power wrap. For 285 calories and 5.5 grams of fat, you’ll get egg whites, turkey, spinach, house-roasted crimini mushrooms and Swiss cheese wrapped in a sun-dried tomato basil tortilla. It’s typically served with fresh fruit (90 calories) and a side of house-made salsa (20 calories).

It’s peach season  so celebrate with organic oatmeal pancakes with peaches, which are only about 317 calories and 17g of fat per serving.

The garden fresh veggie scramble is also a must for health seekers. For only about 350 calories, the dish includes three scrambled eggs with white cheddar cheese, onions, spinach, mushrooms and red and green peppers. (Suggestion: ask to substitute eggs for egg whites.)

Radial Café1530 DeKalb Ave. NE, Atlanta

Pancakes are not off limits — at about 140 calories and 3 grams of fat per pancake, you can satisfy your pancake craving with buckwheat pancakes. Radial Café makes them out of organic buckwheat flower and molasses, topped with wildflower honey butter (about 80 extra calories).
