Fish fry: To celebrate the Lenten season, a fish fry featuring broiled salmon, fried fish and shrimp plus a variety of sides and beverages will be available from 5-8 p.m. every Friday now through April 7 at All Saints Catholic Church. The meal is $8-$9 for adults and $4 for children. Seniors (60 years old and up) receive a $1 discount per dinner from 5-6 p.m. Soft drinks, wine and beer are $1-$2 each. Open to all. Morning retreat: Bunny Williams, Ph.D. and St. Anne’s seminarian, will lead discussions and meditations during Contemplative Retreat Day: Letting Go, which will be held from 9 a.m.-noon March 18 at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church. Faith conference: The Engaging Spirituality and Transformation Where It Matters conference will offer four workshops including Pastoral Professionalism and Spiritual Care as well as In Word and Deed, Preaching and Reaching Communities in a Time of Discontent from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. March 22 at the Interdenominational Theological Center. Community service: During the Great Day of Service, an annual community volunteer day, nearly 1,000 church members of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church will assist in community projects, including landscaping, tree planting, painting, home or park renovations and an array of other tasks followed by a celebratory barbecue picnic. Cue a concert: Daniel Weisman, Georgia State master’s in music graduate, will be accompanied by Mauro Ronca on piano during a program for tenor solo including Italian arias, German songs, American art songs and excerpts from Jules Massenet’s “Poeme d’Avril” as part of an inaugural music concert series. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. April 1 at Northwest Presbyterian Church. A free-will offering will be collected to support future programs.
