Atlanta plays host to several film festivals this year. Here's a rundown:
DOCUFEST ATLANTA
Sept. 27-29
• Overview: Last year's fest screened 30 films from across the globe. Entry deadline is May 30.
• Location: Eyedrum, Suite 8, 290 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive

ATLANTA HORRORFEST
October
• Overview: Includes movies, bands and, of course, zombies (participants dress like the walking dead and then, well, walk through public spaces). Entries accepted until June 30.
• Location: Last year films were shown at Eyedrum.

OUT ON FILM
Likely October
• Overview: Atlanta's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender film festival is presented by Image Film and Video Center. Last year's feature film winner was "Loving Annabelle."
• Location: TBA; last year's event was at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema.

DIXIE FILM FEST
October
• Overview: A three-day fest with roughly 40 films from across the globe. Among last year's screenings was Oscar live-action short nominee "Binta and the Great Idea."
• Location: TBA; last year's fest was at Cinefest at Georgia State University campus.
