The latest trailer for the new James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace," debuted online and in theaters this week and Mojo's ready to join the frenzy to say, "It rocks!"

A sequel that starts immediately after the end of "Casino Royale," the trailer includes a glorious shot of a rocky hill against an azure sky as Bond emerges, walking from the background and toting, naturally, a very big gun.

There are flashes of the plentiful action sequences, involving airborne motorcycles, racing boats, planes and, of course, a roaring Aston Martin.

The film is set to open Nov. 7.

Director Marc Forster ("Monster's Ball," "Finding Neverland") will soon begin a four-week-plus stint in the editing room.

"I'm feeling very good about the movie; I think it's a fun ride," Forster said by phone from his London office earlier this week. "It has all the Bond components and qualities I wanted to bring in. I was always inspired by the early Bonds like 'Dr. No' and 'Goldfinger' and feel like that stylistically [they had] such interesting sets. And I think that look and style was neglected in the last decades."

SHE REALLY, REALLY LIKES THESE MOVIES: Turner Classic Movies' guest movie picker for this month is two-time Oscar winner Sally Field, who will visit with host Robert Osborne before her selections are shown Thursday.

Her choices: "Love With the Proper Stranger" (1964; 8 p.m.) with Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen; "The Awful Truth" (1937; 10 p.m.) with Irene Dunne and Cary Grant; "All About Eve" (1950; 11:45 p.m.) with Bette Davis and Anne Baxter; and "The Miracle at Morgan Creek" (1944; 2:15 a.m.) with Betty Hutton.

ATLANTAN IN SHORT FILM CONTEST: For online's Doorpost Film Project, John Gray of Atlanta made the short "Freedom to Live," which looks at the physically abusive relationship between a white husband and an African-American wife.

Doorpost's mission is to discover filmmakers who inspire and influence rather than just entertain. And Gray did well in the nationwide contest. He got enough votes to qualify in the Top 15.

His prize: $10,000 to be used to make a short film about hope.

The 15 finalists' films will debut online between Aug. 17 and 31. Voting will be done Sept. 1-10. The project's big event will be Sept. 13 in Nashville.

The final round prizes: $100,000 for first place, $30,000 for second and $20,000 for third.
