'Art School Confidential': Unfocused story, underused actors

Director Terry Zwigoff and graphic novel writer Daniel Clowes reteam for "Art School Confidential," but it's only a ghost of "Ghost World," their 2001 collaboration. The wry hipster attitude at first is familiar as the film charts the hard-knocks education of Jerome (Max Minghella), who enrolls in fictional Strathmore Institute's art school hoping to be the 21st century's Picasso. TO SUM UP
Arriving as a freshman at a prestigious East Coast art school, Jerome quickly discovers his affected style and arrogance won't get him very far. A clueless jock attracts the glory Jerome feels rightfully belongs to him, so he hatches an all-or-nothing plan to hit it big in the art world and win the heart of the most beautiful girl in school.
