The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: C-
"(Director Andy) Garcia's passion for his project and his ambition are achingly clear, but the movie never pulls together into something coherent, either emotionally or dramatically."
Austin American-Statesman: 2 of 5 stars
"At almost two and a half hours, Garcia might have saved some money on length and spent it on more effective staging for his low-rent action scenes."
