'The Memory of a Killer': A subtle, intelligent portrayal

With its plum role for an older actor, "The Memory of a Killer" has Hollywood remake written all over it. Angelo Ledda (Jan Decleir) is a veteran hit man in the early stages of Alzheimer's (in Belgium, the title was the more specific "The Alzheimer Case"). Like all good bad guys in the movies, he's looking to retire but is pulled back in for one final job. It's in Antwerp and, as he points out to his contact, he hates Belgium "like everybody else." TO SUM UP
International hitman Angelo Ledda, suffering from advanced symptoms of Alzheimer's, begins to take revenge on his former employers. When Belgian detectives take him into custody, they must rely on Ledda's failing memory to try to unravel the complicated political intrigue behind Antwerp's underground network.
