Considering all the things that have happened on luxury liners recently — food poisoning, pirates, dead passengers — a humongous, ship-flipping "rogue" wave might almost seem manageable. But in "Poseidon," thankfully, it's not. New Year's Eve festivities are underway aboard the luxury cruise ship Poseidon when a rogue wave — a wall of water 150 feet high — slams into the ship, capsizing her.
