'The Upside of Anger': A bad title for a good movie

Excellent performances by the incomparable Joan Allen and by Kevin Costner, in the mode of the appealing actor who charmed us so in the '80s. Allen is a well-off housewife with four beautiful daughters whose husband has gone missing — presumably with his Swedish secretary. Costner is a retired baseball star down the street who ambles over looking for a drinking buddy and stays around to become much more. This is a solid, involving movie, as laced with humor as it is with anger. Read the full review
