Luke Wilson's best

Though he's often cast in the Supportive Boyfriend or the Good Cop with a Zany Partner role, Luke Wilson is something to see when he lets his freak flag fly (as he advised Sarah Jessica Parker's character to do in The Family Stone). The top three Luke Wilson movies:
Luke Wilson
|
1. Bottle Rocket (1996): He plays Anthony Adams, a Benjamin Braddock-type who is just out of a mental hospital and chooses to go along with his friend Dignan's insane heist-and-robbery plans. He is sweet and hangdog and trying to keep it together, the calm in a hurricane.
2. The Royal Tenenbaums (2001): As Richie Tenenbaum, he is a child tennis star who, as an adult, can't get over the feeling that there's got to be more to life than this. Oh, and he's in love with his adopted sister, which should be gross but is lovely instead.
3. The Family Stone (2005): The kick-back member of an otherwise insufferably self-righteous family, Luke Wilson's Ben Stone is funny and deep and refuses to be bothered by things that don't matter. And he's 100 percent loyal to his family (except for the whole 'sleeping with his brother's fiancée' episode).
