ATMOSPHERE: This urbane club formerly known as Karma strives for futuristic big-city luxe. Although the "ultralounge" in downtown Atlanta's Fairlie-Poplar District still has a secret-cool air about it, you're too late to be the first to exclaim, "I feel like I'm in 'A Clockwork Orange!'"
THE CROWD: In 2005, this 21-and-up spot (conveniently located next door to a modeling agency) will be trying to lure an after-work and pre-theater crowd in the early evenings, then sophisticated clubbers from 10 on.
MUSIC: Lots of turntable jockeys. The club promoted its New Year's Eve bash as having "over 13 DJs."
COMING UP: Though the Mark is in transition, follow this general guide: Tuesdays the club presents hip-hop; Wednesdays are special events; Thursdays drum-n-bass; Fridays electronic dance music; Saturdays hip-hop/funk/rare groove; Sundays and Mondays closed.
