The Grammy-winning debut from Atlanta's own Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo owes its success to one thing: "Crazy." The rest of "St. Elsewhere" was a bunch of often-danceable noises and curious (to say the least) lyrics, sung and rapped by the dynamic Cee-Lo. It didn't really make a lot of basic pop music sense. (Songs about necrophilia almost inherently won't.) And for that matter, looking at the words on paper, even "Crazy" didn't make that much sense.

But it was the energy of "Crazy" that the world plugged into, an energy in even more abundance on "The Odd Couple."

And while no, there is nothing with "Crazy" potential here, there is just as much pulse ("Run — I'm A Natural Disaster"); much more soul ("A Little Better," "Neighbors," "Who's Gonna Save My Soul"); slightly more clarity ("Surprise"); and way more reasons to put this on repeat than its predecessor.
