GET PSYCHED: Alabama-born, Atlanta-based All the Saints' new album, "Fire on Corridor X," is a brutally pounding psychedelic assault that recalls Spacemen 3, but the production of Grammy-nominated producer Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley) keeps the shattering rock haze from sounding too drug-damaged. It's the band's songcraft that really puts this one in the win column. Without those hooks, it would just be a lovely, sludgy swirl. Instead, it's one of the best local albums of the year so far. It's a monster. With Zoroaster, Predator, Hell Comes to Town.

THE 411: 9:30 p.m. $7. The EARL, 488 Flat Shoals Ave. S.E., East Atlanta. 404-522-3950, 1-800-594-8499, www.badearl.com

FRIDAY, AUG. 8

Roger "Hurricane" Wilson

PLAYING UP A STORM: Entertaining Atlantans since 1973, this blues guitarist garnered national attention for his 1995 debut CD, "Hurricane Blues." His latest is "Exodus." He's one of our city's finest players, having shared the stage with folks such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert Collins and Albert King. The show is part of the city of Kennesaw's Summer Concert Series. Attendees may bring blankets, chairs and coolers. No alcohol.

THE 411: 8 p.m. Free. Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive, Kennesaw. 770-422-9714, www.kennesaw-ga.gov/summer concertseries

TUESDAY, AUG. 12

Titus Andronicus

BURY YOUR HOOKS IN THIS: The tin-and-barbed-wire guitars, the galloping tempos and the voice of Patrick Stickles — full of desperate, aggressive and throat-blistering pleading — meld into a lo-fi wall of sound that doesn't quite obscure the hookiness at the heart of Titus Andronicus' punky darkness. On the New Jersey band's debut album, "The Airing of Grievances," the effect is a bit like the auditory manifestation of this statement from the band's bio: "Titus Andronicus crave your approval but will settle for your utter disdain." With Pink Police, Club of Rome.

THE 411: 9 p.m. $8. The EARL, 488 Flat Shoals Ave. S.E., East Atlanta. 404-522-3950, 1-800-594-8499, www.badearl.com

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 13

Deerhunter

READYING THE CASTLE: Atlanta's self-described "ambient punk" outfit is gearing up for the release of a new album this fall called "Microcastle." It will be released Oct. 28, but in the meantime Deerhunter is doing some gigs, including the opening slot on a run of Nine Inch Nails gigs. That tour brings them home to Gwinnett Arena on Wednesday. "Microcastle" follows last year's critically acclaimed "Cryptograms," and like that predecessor, the new one will be released by Chicago-based label Kranky. With Nine Inch Nails.

THE 411: 7 p.m. $39.50-$56.50. Gwinnett Arena, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 770-813-7600, 404-249-6400, www.gwinnettcenter.com

The Beach Boys

SURFING AN EBBING TIDE: Mike Love's still having fun, fun, fun despite the fact that someone took all the Wilsons away — and with them went the Beach Boys' soul. Sadly, both Dennis and Carl Wilson are deceased, and Brian is in his own world. The songs are still brilliant, and if someone besides a Wilson is going to do them under the Beach Boys name, it might as well be Love.

THE 411: 8 p.m. $36-$59. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive N.W., Atlanta. 404-733-4800, 404-249-6400, www.classicchastain.com
