• "Monday Night Football" 8 p.m. ESPN — Hungry for pre-season football amid all the Olympics hoopla on NBC? Check out the Bengals vs. the Favre-less Packers.
• "The American Mall" 9 p.m. MTV — This is like "High School Musical" — in a mall. Depending on your demographic, that's like catnip — or poison.
• "The Mole" 10 p.m. ABC (season finale) — This show came back after several years on hiatus and hardly anybody noticed. The winner does get $420,000.
• "Weeds" 10 p.m. Showtime — Esteban has the hots for Nancy, but that isn't going to be a match made in heaven.
Tuesday, August 12
• "Secret Life of the American Teenager" 8 p.m. ABC Family — Amy decides whether to stay at home or live with her grandma while she's pregnant. Given the way the show works, bet on her staying at home and weathering the storm.
• "Eureka" 9 p.m. SciFi — A dog show in Eureka is not exactly Westminster.
• "Wanna Bet?" 9 p.m. ABC (new time slot) — Among the acts: solving a Rubik's Cube underwater blindfolded and sawing through three logs faster than a chainsaw. Sure beats the Olympics, eh? Maybe not...
• "From G's to Gents" 10 p.m. MTV — Danity Kane visit while the men learn to be gentlemen at a nightclub. (Grinding unsuspecting women? A no no.)
Wednesday, August 13
• "Greatest American Dog" 8 p.m. CBS — Jealous Brandy is gone, leaving Travis and Laura to hook up. In the meantime, the dogs channel their inner Picasso.
• "Animal House: The Inside Story" 9 p.m. Bio — A look behind a film that defined Greek life in its most rapacious form. Food fight!
• "Project Runway" 9 p.m. Bravo — Brooke Shields visits and the remaining designers have to create fashion wear suitable for working women.
Thursday, August 14
• "Flashpoint" 10 p.m. CBS— A mall gets locked down when a group of girls torment another teen.
• "Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew" 10 p.m. MTV — The delightfully inventive Fanny Pak got burned last week, leaving SoReal Cru, who have never been at the bottom in votes, and the impressive B-boy group Super Cr3w.
• "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List" 10 p.m. Bravo (season finale) — Griffin closes her season visiting and performing at the Walter Reed Medical Center. And the humor and bravery of some of the injured troops touch her. Really! She has a heart! Who knew?
Friday, August 15
• "Gone Country 2" 8 p.m. CMT (season debut) — Among the folks trying to "go country" this time around: Sebastian Bach of Skid Row fame, Irene Cara of "Fame" fame, and Chris Kirkpatrick of 'N Sync fame.
• "Monk" 9 p.m. USA — Monk faces his 877th phobia by going underwater to investigate a submarine death.
• "Outsider's Inn" 9 p.m. CMT (series debut) — Stealing from "Tori & Dean: Inn Love," this contrivance features Maureen McCormick opening an inn in eastern Tennessee with the help of Carnie Wilson and Bobby Brown.
• "Psych " 10 p.m. USA — A supposed murderer Henry convicted 30 years ago is released. He seeks Shawn's help to get the guy back in jail. But is the man really guilty?
Weekend
• "Hope For Your Home" 8:30 p.m. Saturday TLC — Now here's a show for the times: Kirsten Kemp Becker advises people to fix up their homes economically so they could either refinance and keep the home or sell it.
• "True Confessions of a Go-Go Girl" 9 p.m. Saturday Lifetime — A good girl goes bad, as the title suggests. But this isn't Cinemax or HBO so it's not that type of film.
• "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" 9 p.m. Sunday USA — Chris Noth's farewell performance on the show.
• "Kung Fu Killer" 10 p.m. Sunday Spike — Part one of a two-part miniseries starring David Carradine and Daryl Hannah.
• "Comedy Central Roast" 10 p.m. Sunday Comedy Central — Bob Saget takes the hot seat and winces as roasters make copious Olsen twins jokes.
