Do you fall in love easily, obsessively, unabashedly and also have Hollywood good looks?
If so, march yourself in your finest frocks to the W Atlanta-Buckhead Hotel on Tuesday, where producers of ABC’s “The Bachelor” are on the hunt for men and women willing to look for love in front of a national audience.
“The Bachelor” — also known as one of reality TV’s biggest guilty pleasures — is casting for its 14th season. The romance reality series centers around a prototypical dreamy bachelor and dozens of beauties eager to win his heart through a series of dates and group gatherings.
DeAnna Pappas, of Newnan, unsuccessfully looked for the love on both “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.” And while no marriages have actually resulted from “The Bachelor,” perhaps the next Atlantan can change that.
Some participants of “The Bachelor” and of its sister-series, “The Bachelorette,” have been launched to reality pseudo-celeb fame. Most recently, Melissa Rycroft, the first winner of the 13th “The Bachelor” series, landed a gig on “Dancing With The Stars” after bachelor Jason Mesnick dumped her for runner-up Molly Malaney. And Dr. Travis Stork, the bachelor of the 8th season, is now the lead host on CBS’s “The Doctors.”
Not that celebrity is the goal.
The casting will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the W Atlanta-Buckhead, 3377 Peachtree Rd.
