Stage: Alliance Theatre Company presents Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire’s dramatic comedy “Good People.” It continues through Feb. 10 at the Woodruff Arts Center. Read our review of the show.
Stage:“The Producers” is the musical based on the great Mel Brooks film comedy and runs through Jan. 31 at the Fox Theatre.
Visual arts: “Georgia Nature Photographers’ Association: The Art of the Landscape” is on view at the Chattahoochee Nature Center through Feb. 15.
Visual arts: See work by Cumberland Island jewelry designer Janet “Gogo” Ferguson as the High Museum of Art presents “Gogo: Nature Transformed,” which continues through July 7. Check out the story behind the work.
Film festival: The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival continues through Feb. 20 at several movie theaters around town.
Stage:“Fly” follows the African-American Army Air Corps fighters who flew during World War II. The play is presented by Theatrical Outfit at the Balzer Theater at Herren’s and runs through Feb. 24.
Stage: “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” is a re-imagining of our seventh president as a rock ‘n roll maverick. The Actor’s Express continues through Feb. 17. The play is part of a round-up of upcoming productions on Atlanta stages. Read our review of the musical.
Stage: Aurora Theatre presents "Bob," chronicling the mythic adventures of a dreamer born and abandoned in the bathroom of a fast-food restaurant. It runs through Feb. 10. Check out our review of the show.
Stage: Horizon Theatre Company presents an encore run of its successful 2011 show “The Waffle Palace: Smothered, Covered & Scattered 24/7/365.” It runs through Feb. 17.
Stage: Atlanta Shakespeare Company’s annual production of “Romeo and Juliet,” the classic tale of star-crossed lovers, continues through March 20 at the New American Shakespeare Tavern.
Comedy: "Last Comic Standing" winner Josh Blue's humor centers on living with cerebral palsy and how other people view him. He's performing Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the Punchline.
Stage:“Visiting Mr. Green” continues through Feb. 17. The play is presented by Stage Door Players at the North Dekalb Cultural Arts Center in Dunwoody.
Stage:“9 to 5” is a musical based on the film starring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. It's the latest production from the Legacy Theatre in Tyrone and runs through Feb. 17.
Performing arts, families: The Big Apple Circus returns to town in a new venue after a two-year absence. It opens Feb. 1 and runs through Feb. 18 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta. Take a look at our preview of the circus.
Festival, families: The Atlanta Jugglers Association's Groundhog Day Festival is free for spectators and $20 for participants. It happens at the Yaarab Shrine Center Auditorium Feb. 1-3.
Comedy:Ron White, part of the original Blue Collar Comedy quartet, will do three shows at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre at 8 p.m. Feb. 1 and 7 and 9:30 p.m. Feb. 2. Check out our interview with the Suwanee resident.
Stage: The Polk Street Players present “Let’s Murder Marsha” through Feb. 9 at St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta.
Music: The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra welcomes Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang for her ASO debut with Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 ("Turkish") at 8 p.m. Feb. 2 at Atlanta Symphony Hall. Read our preview of this program.
Stage: Company J presents the beloved musical “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Dunwoody through Feb. 3.
Comedy: Comedian, writer and television star Louis CK comes to the Fox Theatre for a sold-out show at 8 p.m. Feb. 2.
Music: Soviet-born Israeli-American pianist Yefim Bronfman performs at 8 p.m. Feb. 2 at Emory University's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.
Music: Guitarist William Kanengiser of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet brings his solo repertoire to Spivey Hall at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 2.
Recreation: Hit the slopes at Snow Mountain, where it’s always a winter wonderland. The annual attraction at Stone Mountain Park continues through Feb. 18.
Music: If you're looking for an alternative to the Super Bowl, how about an afternoon of Bach keyboard concertos. The Annual Bach Bowl happens at 4 p.m. Feb. 3 at Emory University's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.
