Although there are many indoor ice rinks in the metro area that operate year-round, there is something idyllic about open-air skating. That’s the kind of winter experience organizers of Skate Atlantic Station say they wanted to create, so they cleared several blocks of the retail district to install the 10,000 square foot ice surface.

Subscribers can click here to read more about Skate Atlantic Station and to find out why the AJC gave the new rink scores of 5.8 for required elements and a 5.9 for presentation.
