In 1997, twelve patriotic individuals came together to create a truly unique Memorial Day event; a non-political, non-commercial ceremony honoring veterans and the sacrifices they made in protecting our freedom. That first ceremony attracted approximately 1,800 individuals.

Dacula Memorial Day Parade and Festival. Parade begins at 10 a.m. May 27 at Hebron Baptist Church and ends at Dacula High School; festival 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Downtown Dacula, Second Avenue and Broad Street.
