If you know someone who loves Paddington Bear, you could make their entire weekend.
The marmalade-loving British bear will be at Studio Movie Grill, 40 Powers Ferry Road in Marietta, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday to take pictures, the newly opened theater said.
This is all to promote the bear’s new movie “Paddington 2.”
And the first 20 folks to post a photo with Paddington using the hashtags #SMGMarietta and #Paddington2 will get a free SMG movie pass, the theater said.
The floppy-hat-wearing character first appeared in “A Bear Called Paddington” in 1958.
His creator, Michael Bond, recently died at age 91.
The Associated Press reported that the books have sold some 35 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 40 languages, including Latin (”Ursus Nomine Paddington”).
This new movie is set to premiere in the United States on Jan. 22.
