The Whole Foods Market at the Harry’s Crossing Shopping Center is moving to 1300 Ernest Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw.

If you’ve ever driven around Kennesaw looking for just the right ancient grain — and who hasn’t? — then you’ll be happy to hear that you will have plenty of new options.

The Whole Foods Market at the Harry’s Crossing Shopping Center will close Oct. 5, but a new Whole Foods will open the next day at 1300 Ernest Barrett Pkwy.

And the new store’s Oct. 6 grand opening will feature some freebies.

The 500 customers will get gift cards mostly ranging from $5 to $50, with one priced at $500, the company said in a news release.

Whole Foods announced that it is donating five percent of sales on opening day to the Swift-Cantrell Park Foundation, which supports Kennesaw’s largest park.

The 46,000-square-foot store will feature products from Cobb County businesses, like Marietta’s Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q.

Before the grand opening, there will be a block party on Sept. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. with music, activities from children and samples. You can register for that online.
