Just because school will be back in soon doesn't mean summer fun has to end, Gwinnettians.

This weekend, there is an array of family-friendly events that appeal to virtually every type of kid — from the chivalrous, junior knight-in-training to the mini-cinephile.

Here are just a few items to fill your weekend agenda in Gwinnett:

Train to be a knight at Medieval Times — An hour before the 7:30 p.m. dinner show Friday,  July  29, kids ages  5-12 can step into the arena with the Knights of Medieval Times and get tutelage on becoming an honorary knight of the realm. Training is open to both boys and girls. Closed toe shoes are required to participate. Training is free, but kid's dinner admission is $29.95. Medieval Times is located at Sugarloaf Mills, 5900 Sugarloaf Pkwy, #517, Lawrenceville. 

Catch the last screening at Mall of Georgia's "Movies Under the Stars" — The beloved film series will end with the epic "Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens." The evening will include live music from Beau + Lusic, bounce houses and summer snacks for all. Movie goers should bring blankets and lawn chairs to ensure an optimal Star Wars viewing experience. The screening begins at 6 p.m. Friday at The Village Pavilion at Mall of Georgia, 3333 Buford Drive, Buford. The event is free

Get in the mood for Halloween early – Lawrenceville Ghost Tours invites phantom thrill-seekers to a 90-minute tour of the city’s historic courthouse square and storefronts restored to their turn-of-the-century charm. Tours are offered at 7 and 9 p.m. Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for children. The tours begin and end at  Aurora Theatre, 128 East Pike St.,Lawrenceville.

Celebrate Christmas in July –  Prepare for the holiday just a few months early at Grayson’s annual Christmas in July Arts & Crafts Festival from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at Grayson Park, 1 Park Drive, Grayson. Festival goers can explore vendors selling Christmas-themed items and other goods to set the holiday spirit in motion.
