TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas has struck a nerve with her fans by talking up a TLC collaboration that some fans say is unfathomable − Chilli, T-Boz and pop singer Taylor Swift performing one of their biggest hits.

The Atlanta R &B singer told People magazine she can imagine Swift “right there in the middle” of her and bandmate  Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins “playing the guitar” performing TLC’s 1999 song “Unpretty.” The singer goes on to say “I think that would be awesome if that ever happened. Let’s do it!”

Chilli, who has platinum-selling accolades for TLC bangers like “Creep” and “No Scrubs,” also talked about her new TLC eponymous album, the group’s first in 15 years since the death of bandmate Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes,  in the interview. However, her glowing comments about Swift, a 10-time Grammy Award-winning performer, seemed to draw much more attention than TLC’s new music.

“I like Taylor Swift a lot. She has really fun, catchy songs,” Thomas, 46, told the magazine. “I love how real she is. I really respect her a lot as an artist.”

Twitterdom quickly rejected the idea of the Swift/TLC collabo, and many questioned Chilli’s sentiment about Swift being authentic.

Even with all the clowning, there were a few Tweeps who welcomed a future Swift + TLC music combination.
