Combating slow play
Most courses have procedures for dealing with slow players:
First offense: A warning is given to keep up with the group in front.
Second offense: Golfers in the slow group are aksed to pick up their balls and catch up to the group in front of them.
Third offense: Golfers are asked to leave the golf course. (Some courses allow a refund; some do not.)
