Atlanta Rocks! Intown
This large intown gym has 12,000 square feet of climbing wall and offers beginning classes for children and adults. The "Novice Climb" is for ages 6 and older with no climbing experience. The "Introduction to Gym Climbing" (for 12 and older) teaches basic climbing techniques.

When: The two-hour "Novice Climb" session, popular with families and college students, is Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m.; by reservation. The two-hour introductory class runs Mondays-Fridays from 7 to 9 p.m., plus Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m.
Cost: $23-$35 per person.
