Wet Peach MartiniPublished on: 03/23/2005
NOT OUT OF PEACH
If all an out-of-town visitor knows about Atlanta is OutKast and the Braves, here's a festive intro into the joy of peaches, the state's banner fruit. Beefeater Gin suggests the Wet Peach Martini. Beefeater Wet gin is mixed with simple syrup, peach purée, peach liqueur and lemon juice; the ingredients are blended in a shaker. Shaking it "like a Polaroid picture" is optional.

GET CRUSHED
Speaking of Atlanta rappers, the rotund Bone Crusher might want to check out www.drinksmixer.com. Here, the rhymer can get the recipe for his cocktail namesake. Drinksmixer's Bone Crusher takes 1/2 ounce each of rum, gin and vodka, a shot of champagne, juice from one lemon, and splashes of Sprite and grenadine. After a few of these, he might certainly prove to be "Never Scared."
LEMONADE WITH A KICK
As the temp crawls up the thermometer, so does the craving for something fruity. A true Southern classic is offered by Jack Daniel's at www.jackdaniels.com. Lynchburg, Tenn., is the whiskey's hometown and the birthplace of Lynchburg Lemonade. Jack Daniel's, triple sec, sour mix and lemon-lime soda are what it takes. But selling it on the corner for a quarter a cup won't fly.
