LAZY RIVER

The mellow locale of Canoe (4199 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta) is the inspiration behind a fruit juice-meets-vodka mixed drink. With the Chattahoochee flowing by, the Riversipper mixes Mandarin vodka and orange, pineapple and cranberry juices. Canoe's virgin version sticks strictly with the juices.

GRAPEFRUIT DIET

Missed your morning grapefruit? Some are having theirs at night at Wisteria (471 North Highland Ave., Virginia-Highland). Bartender Hadi Joyce recently came up with this simple pleasure. A champagne floater is in a martini glass with Charbay Ruby Red Grapefruit vodka. The rim is laced with sugar.

BLOSSOMING BOOZE

It's cherry blossoms time. And Cocktail Times (www.cocktailtimes.com) lists a recipe made for the dual appreciation of flora and alcohol. The Cherry Blossom combines 2 ounces of brandy, 1/2 ounce each of cherry brandy and lemon juice, and 1 ounce each of triple sec and grenadine.
