Doubletree Hotel's Dreamy Double-tini

Published on: 05/04/2006

COOKIES AND CREAM

Milk and cookies never had this much kick. The Doubletree Hotel is known for its decadent chocolate chip cookies. They come in liquid form at the bar of the Doubletree Atlanta Northwest in Marietta (2055 S. Park Place). The Dreamy Double-tini takes Absolut vodka, chocolate chip cookie liqueur and milk. Savor it; just don't get baked.

MARTINI COLADA

Sometimes it already feels like summer in the ATL. Cool the heat with a Piña Colada Martini. Over ice, shake 1 1/4 oz. Malibu rum, 3/4 ounce banana liqueur, 1 1/2 oz. half-and-half and a splash of pineapple juice. Pour it all into a chilled martini glass, then top with a blast of whipped cream. Garnish with strawberry and orange slices.

SPREAD YOUR WINGS

The bird's the word at Durango Steakhouse (825 Duluth Highway, Lawrenceville). Customers are pairing the restaurant's Southwestern dishes with the Bird of Paradise. This sweet and syrupy concoction joins Galliano, banana liqueur with light rum, and pineapple and orange juices. Bartenders dress it up with an orange wedge and a cherry.
