Fogo de Chao's Tropical CaipirinhaPublished on: 05/19/2005
BRAZILIAN SUMMER
Want something sweet with that meat bomb? The popular Southern Brazilian churrascaria Fogo de Chao (3101 Piedmont Road N.E., Buckhead) offers the Tropical Caipirinha — which adds pineapple, kiwi, mango and more. It's a traditional Brazilian cocktail that's supposedly a favorite among women there. Fogo will serve it through August.
TEA TIME
It's grass mowing season, and nothing pairs with it like iced tea. Stoli has a sauced-up version: the Stoli Persik Iced Tea. Two ounces of Stoli Persik vodka swims with 1 ounce of peach puree, 1?2 ounce of freshly squeezed orange juice and 3 ounces of iced tea mix. Shake with ice, pour into a tall glass and garnish with mint leaves. But please don't drink and mow. Who wants to lop off a toe?
MIDCITY COCKTAILS
A mess of new cocktails hits the menu at MidCity Cuisine (1545 Peachtree St., Midtown). Some have flirtatious names like the Orange U Glad and Passionfruit Spritzer. The Cuba Libre made the cut. Two ounces of Bacardi 8 rum is served over ice in a water glass garnished with a lime slice. A can of Lime Coke comes on the side.
