LUAU ON LABOR DAY

Holiday parties come in all shapes and styles. Those pitching a tropical throw-down this weekend might consider a fruity liquid party favor. The Labor Day Luau blends two kinds of vodka, coconut rum, pineapple juice and sugar. The result is literally a bittersweet reminder summer is almost gone.

MARTINIS TO THE MAX

On Friday nights, Fernbank Museum of Natural History (767 Clifton Road N.E., Atlanta) gets a dose of nightclub swank with its Martinis & Imax events. The full bar features a specialty martini list, including the White Elephant. Vodka teams up with Amarula Crème liqueur for this simple yet creamy concoction.

LAST CHANCE LIBATION

The folks at Cuervo have yet another way to slosh away the end of summer. The Last Bash Splash is a twist on a flavored margarita: 1 oz. of Cuervo Especial rubs elbows with ¸ oz. of raspberry liqueur, 3 ounces of margarita mix and a splash of cranberry juice.
