TWIST ON SANGRIA
Seems like there are a million versions of martinis floating about. Well, make that a million and one. Twist (3500 Peachtree Road, Buckhead) has melded the martini concept with an old-school Spanish libation. The Sangriatini has red sangria doing the flamenco with Sauza Tres Plata tequila and lemon-lime sour mix.
SANGRIA AROUND THE GLOBE
Some straight up sangria is being poured at the Globe (75 Fifth St. N.W., Midtown) today and every Thursday. Drinkers can get a belly full on a budget, just $3 a glass. After a few, you might even be brave enough to run with the bulls.
EVEN MORE SANGRIA
Still can't get enough sangria? Sala-Sabor De Mexico (1186 N. Highland Ave., Virginia-Highland) hosts a fiesta of its own Thursday nights. For $15, you get bottomless sangria and Sala's Gringo margaritas. It's all backed by the sounds of a live Latin band.
