Buffy's Vampire Juice

BUFFY BOOZE

It's time to welcome those fanged fiends known as vampires. Spare your neck and serve party guests some Buffy's Vampire Juice. Grenadine, cranberry and apple juices are bitten by a blast of Stoli cranberry vodka. Find a Sarah Michelle Gellar lookalike to do the pouring, and you get bonus points.

DOWN AT THE GLOBE

A new cast of cocktails has reared its head at the Globe (75 Fifth St. at Technology Square). Among the imaginative mixtures is the Honey Rhubarb Daiquiri. Dark rum, rhubarb puree, lime juice and molasses make for a unique quartet. Others making the bill include the Pear Martini and Orange & Lime Caiproska.

GHOST WITH THE MOST

Play word association with "ghost," and hopefully it doesn't conjure images of Patrick Swayze slinging clay with Demi Moore. The mad scientists at Smirnoff have another answer: the Ghost Cocktail. Scare up 1 1/4 ounces of Smirnoff Vanilla Twist, 1/4 ounce each of half and half and simple syrup, and 1/2 ounce of Godiva white chocolate liqueur. Sounds much more palatable than the "Roadhouse" (a la corny, yet oddly entertaining, Swayze movie).

IN THE DRINK

Buffy's Vampire Juice

(per guest)

1 1/4 cup cranberry juice

2/5 cup apple juice

2/5 cup Stoli cranberry vodka

1 2/3 tbsp. grenadine syrup

Fill a pitcher with ice cubes and add grenadine, vodka, apple and cranberry juices. Pour into cocktail glasses and garnish with an orange slice.
