DRINK LIKE A BEAST

Event movies rule the megaplex on Memorial Day weekend. And "X-Men: The Last Stand" will be in the mix. It's a mutant smorgasbord with all of your favorite characters returning, including Wolverine, Magneto, Storm and Rogue. But the big surprise is Dr. Frasier Crane himself — Kelsey Grammer — as the fuzzy blue Beast. In honor of the comic hero hitting the silver screen, Spirits suggests downing Beast Juice. A trio of rums — Bacardi 151, dark and coconut — mixes with grenadine and pineapple and orange juices. And coating the stomach with a jumbo burrito might be the best way to prepare for a night of indulging in this stiff drink.

Mexican restaurant and tequila bar Pozole (1044 Greenwood Ave., Virginia-Highland) has a laundry list of colorful drinks. The Citrus Pucker Cocktail, the Blue Diablo and the La Floridita Martini are just a few. But the most striking title may be its Red Headed Mexican. The ingredients are simple: Jose Cuervo tequila, lemon lime soda and a splash of cranberry juice.
