Restaurants around Marietta square, the city and the county invite you to find out what's cooking in their kitchens. By heading to the 15th annual Taste of Marietta Sunday, you can do it with one stroll around the square.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can sample bites from more than 65 eateries, including the Australian Bakery, Efes, Marietta Pizza Co., Sugar Cakes, Shillings, Sal Grosso, Taco Mac, Copeland's, Dave and Buster's, Aspens Steaks, Bugaboo Creek, Fusco's, Ji Bou Te Cafe and more. There's no admission charge, but tastes cost from 50 cents to $4 each. Gather a few plates and pull up a seat at one of the tables that will line the square's side streets.

The day features more than food. There will be a kids area with games and activities; a sports corner where Dominique Wilkins will sign autographs at 1 p.m.; and four entertainment stages. A concert by local faves Banks and Shane kicks off at sunset. And you can hop a free ride on the new Historic Marietta Trolley that will shuttle Taste-goers to the square from Marietta Middle School.
Details about participating restaurants are online at www.tasteofmarietta.com, or call 770-429-1115.

• The folks at Harry's Farmers Market in Roswell want people to think about more than just food on Tuesday, so they're hosting two events to get you in a recycling frame of mind. The first is collecting the outdated and unwanted electronic junk that's cluttering up your home. From noon to 5 p.m., haul in that old computer, monitor, printer and keyboard that are gathering dust in the garage and they'll take them off your hands. Other electronics you can dump: scanners, floppy disks, circuit boards, hard drives, modems, fax machines, speakers, stereos, answering machines, VCRs, DVD players, typewriters, calculators and telephones. They'll also take TVs, but there's a $10 cash-only fee.
Also on Tuesday, kids can pick up some practical info on recycling during a 3:30 p.m. workshop that includes games and prizes. For details on both events, call Harry's, 1180 Upper Hembree Road, at 770-664-6300.
