THE SCENE: It straddles the line between theme park and lake attraction, offering the best of both. While a nice place to visit, the water park is not so easy on the feet because the grounds are spread out. The uncomfortable pavement makes flip-flops or water shoes a necessity. SLIDE & SEEK: Similar to Six Flags White Water, there's a wave pool, kiddie area and variations on the Cliffhanger and Dragon's Tail (named the Intimidator and Triple Threat, respectively). But this park offers two rides that steal the show. The Fun-Dunker Drop is a slide located within a water-logged playhouse. Riders climb a staircase and are shot down a tunnel, then dropped into what looks like a King Kong-scale toilet bowl. The nearby Surf Wave is a simulated surfing ride where guests hang on to mini-boards while high-pressure waves shoot out at them. It's great to watch, but the bumps and bruises on the some of the surfers suggest it's a no-pain, no-gain attraction. SIZE MATTERS: All slides have at least a 42-inch height requirement, leaving tiny tots confined to the kiddie area and wave pool. The other slides and parks have some exceptions.
