Food: No outside food or coolers allowed inside the park, however there are picnic tables just outside the park (you can get your hand stamped and come back in) and plenty of places to eat inside.

Deals: Look for coupons at Publix in June, July & August. Watch for Coca-Cola product offers in July and August.

Rides, slides & more:

THE SCENE: It's a big-budget tourist stop with more than 20 attractions and snazzier technology than the others. Its four sections (Flash Flood Canyon, Slippery Ridge, Pine Valley and Wildwater Lagoon) offer a full day of activities for families, thrill-seekers and low-key sun worshippers. If you can endure the crowds, there's cool water waiting at the end of the long lines.

DON'T MISS: The Cliffhanger offers an exhilarating ride and a nine-story drop. Warning: It can be a tad rough on the back. The Dragon's Tail is another thriller that's 250 feet long with three humps. Be prepared to catch air. Also try the Run-A-Way River. Four riders hurdle down a 735-foot course in a raft that takes them through large tunnels. Another fun attraction is Tree House Island. Think Swiss Family Robinson goes aquatic. Look out for the 5,000-gallon bucket of water dumping periodically. It's made for kids, but adults will love it.

BRING YOUR WATERPROOF WALLET: The food ain't cheap and even lockers cost $8 (a $1 refund if you return the key). But kudos for the complimentary floats in the wave pool and river attractions. Don't miss the free "Dive-In Movies" projected on a screen visible from the wave pool. They're shown on Friday nights through Aug. 8, featuring family fare like "Spy Kids" and "Spirit."
