Metro Atlanta Rock Climbing Guide

The best climb in the Southeast is in the Atlanta area. Unfortunately, park policy doesn't allow climbing at Stone Mountain.

That's okay -- there are many other options for metro area climbers. When it's too cold and wet to play outside, the manmade climbing walls at sporting goods stores like REI and Galyan's offer an opportunity for the curious to play Spider-man. But for year-round, learn-to-climb classes, head for climbing gyms or fitness facilities like the YMCA.
