Two Georgia shops among the best in the South, one takes top honors

Savannah, Georgia is home to the best shop in the South.

The best shop in the South is known for its hand-picked goods, Southern hospitality and European tastes.

And it’s right here in Georgia. The Paris Market and Brocante in Savannah earned top honors in popular Southern culture magazine’s “The South’s Best” awards.

Based on more than 22,000 online reader surveys, Southern Living created its first-ever listing for the best-loved places in 13 different categories.

Here’s what Southern Living had to say about its big winner:

Another Savannah shop — ShopSCAD — came in fourth on Southern Living’s “South’s best shops” list of 10.

ShopSCAD is a unique retail gallery that often features work created by the Savannah College of Art and Design community, according to the shop’s website.
