Cee Lo reunites with Goodie Mob for new album By Melissa Ruggieri
While we’ve had no luck getting a Cee Lo Green interview either by phone or in person while he’s in Las Vegas doing his “Loberace” show, he did chat with Robin Leach for his Strip Scribbles column.
Green disclosed that he and the rest of Atlanta’s Goodie Mob will release a new record, “Age Against the Machine,” June 18 and possibly follow it with a summer tour.
It’s been nine years since the last Goodie Mob album and 14 since “World Party,” the last time Cee Lo appeared on record with the group he helped found in 1991.
The Mob guys – Khujo, T-Mo and Big Gipp – have plenty of time to spend with Green while he’s in Vegas: The group makes a grand entrance during every “Loberace” show to perform a couple of songs.
Cee Lo’s “Loberace” wraps at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino this weekend, but if you didn’t get a chance to catch him this time, no worries – the show will return in October.
