Alan Jackson

The Georgia native released his second gospel album, “Precious Memories Volume II,” in March. It’s a collection of traditional hymns that Jackson said was “an honest effort to do something sweet for our mothers.” But surely he’ll break out the country hits on tour as well when he launches his summer outing Friday — the first show at Chastain this year.

Yacht Rock

For their Spring Spectacular Atlanta’s always-classy soft-rock kingpins will perform a set of U2 songs and then get their Ron Burgundy on with a run through the “Anchorman” soundtrack.

Widespread Panic

The Georgia jam legends (Athens, to be exact) played only a handful of shows in 2012, and most of those were completely acoustic. After branching out the rest of the year with various solo interests, Panic is ready to plug in and scorch through set lists of 20-plus songs (and they’ll do it for two nights in Alpharetta). Victor Wooten

The ace of bass, known as one of Bela Fleck’s Flecktones, is also a novelist and is working on the follow-up to 2008’s “The Music Lesson.” But right now he’s touring behind his dual releases from last year — “Words and Tones” (which includes the work of female vocalists) and “Sword and Stone” (all instrumental). Also, at 1 p.m. on the day of his Atlanta show Wooten will conduct a free bass clinic at Sam Ash Music on Cobb Parkway.

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band

There is absolutely nothing new about Buffett in concert, and that is exactly the way the Parrotheads want it. They drink, wear gaudy shirts, mesh their hands on top of their heads during “Fins” and drunkenly sway to “Margaritaville.” Then they’ll return next summer to do it again.

Celtic Woman

Though the group’s Lisa Kelly recently departed to open a voice academy in Peachtree City, the quartet of Chloë Agnew, Lisa Lambe, Susan McFadden and Máiréad Nesbitt will bring their angelic voices and plucky spirits back to the Fox.

The Black Keys

The duo of Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach might have gotten a little more mainstream exposure than they wanted after their five Grammy wins this year. But the garage rockers no doubt have retained their lo-fi charm. Fans can see when their tour kicks off April 28 in Kansas City, Mo.
