No matter how much you might love a sibling, could you envision life in a band with him or her that didn’t involve some type of prescription medication?
It’s hard enough that you had to share a room growing up. Now you’re crammed on a tour bus together for 10 months a year. And remember the fights about whose turn it was to empty the dishwasher? Now you’re arguing about whether that bridge really belongs in that ballad and whose face gets prominent treatment on the tour T-shirt.
All of that to say – the Jonas Brothers are coming to town on Sunday (at Chastain Park Amphitheatre) and, while they might not be the most popular of sibling acts in music history, Joe, Kevin and Nick sustained a commendable run in the late 2000s as harmlessly hunky objects of affection, lust and dreams for millions of screeching teenage girls.
So in their honor, here are some favorite tracks from my sibling bands of choice.
Feel free to sound off below with your family faves – and don’t forget The Osmonds, The Black Crowes, Kings of Leon, The Carpenters, Tegan and Sara, The Everly Brothers, The National, AC/DC and INXS!
