Atlanta will toast the new year with Janelle Monáe. The singer-songwriter will headline the 25th anniversary Peach Drop on New Year's Eve at Underground Atlanta. Monae will play the Main Stage at on Upper Alabama Street at 11 p.m. Dec. 31.
The event will be emceed by actor/comedian David Koechner, who is starring in the Atlanta-filmed "Anchorman 2."
Monae recently dazzled a sold-out crowd at The Tabnernacle with her soulful funk-pop and James Brown-inspired dance moves. The Kansas City, Kan., native established her career in Atlanta and is currently riding the success of her latest album, "The Electric Lady," one of the best of the year. Monae's steller year also included being named Billboard's Women in Music "Rising Star" and Atlanta Magazine's 2013 Musician of the Year.
Monae's headlining show will be preceded by a day of entertainment that launches at 11 a.m. Check out the full schedule below.
