Chipper Jones and his “Crazy Train” might not be at Turner Field this season, but there will be plenty of opportunities for baseball and music to mingle.

The Atlanta Braves are seeking up-and-coming local and regional bands to entertain the crowd in Fan Plaza before select home games this season. It doesn’t matter which genre of music your band plays or if you’re keen on covers or originals – all will be eligible for consideration.

Along with the glory of performing for a captive audience of thousands, the selected “Braves Bands” will receive free game tickets for band members for that night’s game, discounted admission codes for their fans and a chance to be crowned “Braves Band of the Year,” an honor earned last year by The Whiskey Gentry, who will bring their storming bluegrass back for the April 6 game against the Chicago Cubs.

For contest details and submission information, visit www.braves.com/bravesbands.
