Ne-Yo never made it to my end of the red carpet at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala Saturday night in Beverly Hills, but the Atlanta-based R&B crooner did slip a nugget of info to Ryan Seacrest on the Grammy red carpet on Sunday.
According to mjsbigblog.com, Ne-Yo is in talks to join “The X-Factor” as a judge.
“It’s a conversation. Nothing is set in stone right yet. It’s talks,” he told Seacrest. “There’s been a few lunches and dinners, but that’s all I can say right now.”
Ne-Yo, who lost his bid for a fourth Grammy when the Best Dance Recording trophy went to Skrillex instead of his “Let’s Go” with Calvin Harris, also told Extra/”X-Factor” host Mario Lopez that he feels he’s been around long enough “to have some vital information for someone on the way up.”
Ne-Yo has earned six Top 10 hits in his seven-year career and written hits for artists including Beyonce, Rihanna, Pitbull and T-Pain. His most recent album, “R.E.D.,” bowed last fall.
