Lady Gaga cancels remainder of tour By Melissa Ruggieri
Lady Gaga has canceled the remaining dates of her “Born This Way Ball” because of a hip injury that will require surgery.
Gaga was slated to perform at Philips Arena on March 11.
Live Nation released a statement Wednesday night that the singer has a labral tear of her right hip and will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by “strict downtime” to recover. Earlier in the day, Gaga took to Twitter to apologize to fans in Chicago, Detroit and Ontario for initially postponing those dates because of her injury.
“I am completely devastated and heartsick,” the singer said. “I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night’s performance I could not walk.
Refunds will be available at point of purchase beginning Feb. 14.
